The terms that apply when you create a MicroTrack account or use the app.

By downloading, accessing, or using MicroTrack, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. These Terms apply to the MicroTrack mobile apps, website, accounts, Premium features, and related services.
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. MicroTrack is not intended for children under 13. If your region requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, you must comply with those requirements.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You may sign out at any time. You can delete your account directly within the MicroTrack app where available. Deleting your account removes your user account data from MicroTrack's cloud services, subject to legal obligations, backup retention periods, and Apple or Google subscription records where applicable.
You must not misuse MicroTrack, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security controls, reverse engineer the app except where legally permitted, upload unlawful content, or use the service to harm others. You must not attempt to manipulate Premium access, subscription status, or backend data.
MicroTrack, including its design, software, branding, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
MicroTrack may offer optional Premium subscriptions that unlock additional insights, analytics, learning content, or app features. Subscription prices are displayed within the app before you complete a purchase. Prices may vary by country, platform, currency, applicable taxes, and promotional offers. Features included in Premium may change over time. We reserve the right to modify subscription offerings, pricing, or available plans where permitted by applicable law and the policies of the Apple App Store and Google Play. Premium subscriptions may include a free trial where offered. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts into a paid subscription. Billing follows Apple App Store and Google Play subscription policies.
Payment for subscriptions is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Renewal charges occur within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. You can manage your subscription and disable auto-renewal in your Apple Account Settings or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the MicroTrack app does not automatically cancel an active subscription. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts into a paid subscription and billing begins under the applicable store terms.
Refund requests for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled solely by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. MicroTrack cannot approve or issue refunds for purchases processed through the App Store or Google Play.
You retain responsibility for exposure logs, notes, favorites, and other content you enter into MicroTrack. Products are identified using their barcode, and product information is retrieved from the Open Food Facts API. Users can log products but cannot permanently create or add products to the product database. You grant us the limited permission needed to process your content to operate, sync, secure, and improve the service. Do not submit unlawful, harmful, or sensitive information that is not needed for the app.
MicroTrack is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It does not provide medical advice and does not replace professional medical advice. Exposure scores, trends, insights, and recommendations are estimates based on available product information retrieved from the Open Food Facts API, scoring models, and your inputs. Open Food Facts is a third-party service, and product information may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. MicroTrack cannot guarantee the accuracy of third-party product data. You should consult qualified healthcare professionals regarding any medical or health concerns.
MicroTrack is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Product information is retrieved from the Open Food Facts API, a third-party database. That information may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and MicroTrack cannot guarantee the accuracy of third-party product data. Exposure scores are estimates generated using available information and user inputs, and may not always be complete, accurate, or current.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on app estimates or educational content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
You may stop using MicroTrack at any time. You can delete your account directly within the MicroTrack app where available. Deleting your account removes your user account data from MicroTrack's cloud services, subject to legal obligations, backup retention periods, and Apple or Google subscription records where applicable. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or use the service unlawfully. Some obligations, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and payment terms, survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Courts or regulators in your location may also provide mandatory rights that these Terms do not override.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MicroTrack regarding your use of the service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings relating to that subject matter.
MicroTrack is not responsible for delays or failures in performance, or for service interruptions, caused by events outside its reasonable control. Such events may include natural disasters, internet or telecommunications outages, government actions, third-party service failures, cyberattacks, and power failures.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app, on the website, or by email where appropriate. Continued use of MicroTrack after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
